July Rides Week 3

First a ride through Dice Addition
Parts are in the city limits, others are not
As you will see, its kind of an anything goes part of town
In fairness, this is the sketchier part of Dice Addition, the remainder is older, but fairly well kept homes

Spruce Street looking west

Spruce Street about to turn north

The building is a body shop, that, actually, turns out some very good work

Thats a junk yard back there -- outside city limits

About to pass by the shop

Across from the shop
Some awaiting work, others, who knows?

Pretty nice replicar of some sort

A '49 Willys
Pronounced: Will-iss (but no one ever does)
Worth some big bucks no doubt

Looking deeper east

A new (to me) arrival
Had no idea what it is
Found out it is a Custom Cloud
A '70's Monte Carlo with a custom fiberglass body

Closer view

Another
"Ready for Restoration"* (or parts car)

*Ready for Restoration meaning you are about to spend way more than you ever thought possible

hh
Rolls Royce probably wouldn't approve
They didn't
1970s Chevrolet Monte Carlo “Custom Cloud” | GenHO (generationhighoutput.com)

Then the invasion of more smoke from Canada

Sun through the smoke

View south on 7th street, hazy smoke

A little earlier, the sun through the smoke

Normally one would think that's a deck of stratus clouds

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Little trumpet shaped roadside flowers

You are among the very few ever to see a soybean blossom
Normally hidden in the foliage
The taller the beans grow, the more blossoms = more beans
Bean Blossom is a town in Indiana, located not far from Gnaw Bone, Indiana

Raleigh at the North Fork 3 miles south of town

Bean pods on a Catalpa tree

2 Raleighs
Dave's is a real deal Nottingham, England build

Le Tour and Polygon await the arrival of Dave and Raleigh
Blogger says "I want the photos in THIS order, no matter they are OUT of order and there is nothing you can do about it -- so there!"     ðŸ˜¡   Yes, I know

Landfill  aka Mt Hoopeston

Typical scene

Dwight arrives with Polygon

(Thank you Blogger, this is where YOU want to photo, so here it is.  Happy?)

Le Tour and Raleigh at North Fork east of town

Polygon

Cutest little black and white dog you would ever want to see
Goes totally ballistic when I ride by
Guess I'm not approved  😉

North Fork Conservation Club
Flamingos placed in the middle of the night -- they have been Flocked!!

CT sports its new tires

Ater repeated failed attempts at removing the seat post -- if you can't raise the post -- raise the saddle
Whether that is going to work long term is a very good question!
The links raised the saddle to the perfect height

Dwight and Dave

Disheveled order of photos -- Thank You Blogger. . . . .😖
