Le Tour tours Kickapoo State Park and the Rail Trail

The weather so far this Spring has been anything but conducive to cycling -- as is the case for several of us
So when a good day presents itself -- good idea to take advantage of it

Nice day for a ride in Kickapoo State Park and the connection to the Kickapoo Rail Trail
Cool and breezy, but non the less a great ride
The following day -- back to 30 -40 mph winds

Le Tour arrives at KSP

Riding east

Skyline Drive eastbound
The understory of the woods is greening up nicely
Red Buds in bloom

Difficult to see turtles on the log
Several 'plooped' into the water prior to photo

Must have been a siding along the RR years ago

Eagle sightings are rare

Middle Fork valley deeply incised into surrounding land

Middle Fork Valley

Clump of wild flox

Red Bud trees and pond

What the bridge looked like prior to removal
And, yes it was a hazard
Bridge over Middlefork has been removed
Quite a drop off to the gravel bar not evident in the photo
