I find it interesting to see just the what might be called the Common Stuff of different places.
Ive intended to takes photos, for example, of a ride to the Post Office and back -- nothing particularly striking about that, but, since 365 is about the bicycle in daily life, such a photo sequence would seem appropriate.
Things you would never think of photographing are probably what is the goal here -- "who would ever want a picture of
that??"
On a bicycle we see lots of stuff that would just be a blur or not
noticed at all in an automobile -- that's the idea, such as it is. :)
There is no story per se, just here is where I rode, here is what I saw.
Following are various photos from various rides at various times -- this is what I saw:

The gate was open, no one around, we rode in

Hagen All Speed Chain wheel
1974 - Hagen All-Speed Expanding Chainwheel.
This had 6 smaller
sprockets that moved outward as an inner spiral-plate turned.
The gear
range was 2.85 to 1, or 285%.

This Hagen
All-Speed crank was up for sale on eBay last year.
Top photo shows it in
"low gear" position, and the bottom photo is "high gear."
And it was
infinitely variable in-between. At least one of the ads described it as
having "a jillion speeds." | |
